National Cadet Corps (N.C.C.)

AIMS of N.C.C.
1.. To develop leadership, character, comradeship, spirit of sportsmanship and the ideas of service
2. To Create a force of disciplined and trained main power which in a national emergency can be assistance to the country.
3. To provide training for students with a view to developing in them officer like qualities, thus also enabling them to obtain commission in the Armed Forces.

A stduent is normally enrolled for three years in N.C.C. subject to a further extension of one year more. Every student so enrolled has to attend a minimum of 4 hours of N.C.C training per week (i.e six periods) and two annual training camps during his three years of training in N.C.C.

After enrolment in N.C.C. a student is issued uniforms and equipments which he should preserve in good condition. Any item uniform or equivalent lost by him or damaged by him should be made good by paying the full cost. A student who turns up to the parade without uniform will not be ordinarily given attendance for the day. At the end of the training year a student should return all items to his Platoon Commander. Unless the clearance certificate is produced from the N.C.C. officer at the time of paying University Examination fee, his fees for the examination shall not be accepted. The N.C.C., office consists of the Following.

1. One Officer
2. One P.I. Staff
3. One Lasker

The D. K College has one wing both for boys and girls. the authorised strength of this combined wing is fifty.
