IGNOU Study Center

The College has its unique opportunity to open the IGNOU study center to provide distance education. The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) study center (Code - 21109) was opened in May 2006 with a view to extending higher education to the college students and outside covering a vast area of North Balasore. and a portion of East Medinapur of West Bengal. The IGNOU has its distinct features. These are as follows :
1. It s democratizes higher education by taking to the door steps of the learners.
2. Programmes offered by it need-based, job-oriented and cost effective
3. It provides access to higher education to all those who seek it irrespective of age, religion or formal qualification.
4. Students and working people can avail the opportunity.
5. Course fees are minimum and are fully reimbursable to S.C./S.T and Physically handicapped learners.
6. It uses latest information and Communication technology.

The study centre at D. K. College, Jaleswar at present provides facilities for the following Programmes.

VISION
The People of Balasore and Medinipur of West Bengal are taken into account for their educational upliftment. It intends for facilitate the persons who have not got chance for the formal education. The study center aims at providing job oriented Programmes to the college students. so, that they can prepare them selves for future Job market.
